Ground Support Station (GSS)

The Ground Support Station was developed for use in the Structural Health Monitoring System (SHMS).  The software system manages fleet aircraft and their flight data, calculates crack growth, tracks maintenance inspections and automatically schedules maintenance activity on an individual aircraft and control point basis.

Each of 18 control points are individually tracked and processed for each aircraft in the fleet.

Crack growth is calculated and plotted, along with critical engineering information...

Maintenance inspections and other actions are tracked, and the Time to Next Inspection is calculated for each individual control point and each aircraft.

Stress, strain and acceleration exceedances are calculated and stored for each control point and each aircraft, and formatted reports are produced.
